While studying the
Holocaust or while learning about Darfur, people wonder how the world
could let such unspeakable tragedies occur. Although it is obviously
too late to help the victims of the Holocaust, there are millions of
people in Darfur we can still save.
Boca Community High School's
Holocaust class, in conjunction with its chapter of STAND, a student
anti-genocide coalition, is offering YOU a chance to make a difference.
For every dollar you donate to Triangles of Truth, you will
accomplish two important goals. First, you will honor a Holocaust
victim by displaying his or her name respectfully. Second, by
purchasing a triangle, you will be working to stop genocide in Darfur
today as your full donation will be forwarded to the Save Darfur Coalition
and the Genocide Intervention Network.
Together we can and will stop the
genocide occurring in Darfur, for the sake of the people of Darfur, and
for the memories of the Holocaust victims who perished when so few
people chose to save them. We hope to prove that we have learned from
the lessons of the Holocaust and can use our knowledge to prevent
present-day and future genocide.
